Delicious Kinder Chocolate Cookies: Simple Recipe for Kids!

These Kinder chocolate cookies are a delightful treat that combines a tender cookie base with sweet Kinder chocolate. Perfect for baking with kids, they bring back nostalgic memories of childhood.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 300 g flour
  • 200 g butter
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 7 pieces of Kinder chocolate bars
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing the dough: Mix 300 g flour, 200 g butter (at room temperature), 100 g powdered sugar, 1 pinch of salt, and 1 egg in a large bowl. Knead all the ingredients with your hands or a hand mixer until you have a smooth dough. This takes about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes. This helps to firm up the dough so it can be shaped better later.
  3. After chilling, take half of the dough out of the refrigerator. Divide it into walnut-sized portions (about 16 pieces). The portions should be evenly sized so that the cookies bake evenly.
  4. Shape each portion into a ball and flatten it slightly. Take a Kinder chocolate bar and place it in the center of the flat dough disc.
  5. Wrap the dough around the Kinder chocolate bar so that it is completely enclosed, and form it back into a ball. Make sure the bar is well covered so it doesn't leak out while baking.
  6. Place the shaped cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Leave enough space between the cookies as they will spread slightly while baking.
  7. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) and bake the cookies for about 10 minutes. They are done when they are lightly golden brown and a tempting aroma fills the kitchen.
  8. After baking, let the cookies cool for a few minutes before carefully transferring them to a wire rack. While they are still warm, roll them in powdered sugar to give them a sweet, white coating.

Nutrition

Keywords: Make sure to let the butter soften at room temperature instead of melting it for the right dough consistency. Avoid over-kneading the dough to keep the cookies tender; too much kneading can develop gluten and make the cookies hard.
